“From the outset, Canada was formed not in spite of differences, but because of them. Thanks to the hard work and understanding between many cultural and religious communities, Canada is the diverse, inclusive, and compassionate country that we are fortunate to call home today.” – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau

This year marks Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation, as well as the 50th anniversary of the Consulate General of Canada in Dallas, which serves Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. The Consulate General is proud to sponsor a reception to honour the unique contributions by a diverse group of Canadian filmmakers and artists participating in the New Orleans Film Festival, which will include a brief Q & A with “Wexford Plaza” filmmaker Joyce Wong.
