Applications are OPEN for the 2025 Southern Producers Lab

The Southern Producers Lab, Is a New Orleans Film Society development program designed to help emerging, diverse producers from across the American South discover their producing niche and strengthen community connections. Each year, seven South-based producers are selected to participate in an 18-month mentorship program that includes industry guidance, peer support, and a 5-day intensive lab.

At the end of the intensive, participants will receive a $2,000 unrestricted grant to support their projects, along with the opportunity to convene at the New Orleans Film Festival and one additional regional festival or conference.

• Open Call: December 18 – January 17
• Notification Date: February 19, 2025
• Virtual Group Orientation: April 28, 2025
• In-Person Lab: May 7-11, 2025
• Convening at NOFF: October 23-28, 2025
• Convening at Regional Festival: Spring/Summer 2026
