Actress Kim Cattrall talks with Elisabeth Sereda of Hollywood Foreign Press Association about her career, the changing role of women in Hollywood and about Filthy Rich, a serialized dramedy TV series currently in production in New Orleans. Filthy Rich, created by Tate Taylor, is a Southern Gothic family drama in which wealth, power and religion collide—with outrageous results–– scheduled to premiere in January 2020.
About Kim Cattrall:
Kim Cattrall has had an extensive acting career that spans film, stage and television. The British born actress was trained at the London Academy of Dramatic Arts is currently starring and producing the Fox show Filthy Rich in New Orleans.
Her film credits include Roman Polanski’s The Ghost Writer, Meet Monica Velour, Sex and The City and Sex in the City 2 in which she reprised her award-winning role as the infamous ‘Samantha Jones’. Cattrall was recognized for her work in the tv series with a Golden Globe; two Screen Actors Guild Awards; five Emmy Award nominations and Three Screen Actors’ Guild nominations. In 2015, she starred and produced the International Emmy nominated series Sensitive Skin which can be seen on Netflix. On stage Kim has been seen on the West End in Sweet Bird of Youth and Richard Eyre’s Private Lives, which also received a Broadway run. She starred in Anthony and Cleopatra at the Liverpool Playhouse as well as David Mamet’s The Cryptogram, Peter Hall’s production of Whose Life is it Anyway? ; Wild Honey, Miss Julie ; The Misanthrope ; The Three Sisters and A View From the Bridge.
