The ever-unpredictable Christophe Honoré (Love Songs) returns with perhaps his most personal, emotionally rich work yet. At once an intimate chronicle of a romance and a sprawling portrait of gay life in early 1990s France, Sorry Angel follows the intertwining journeys of Jacques, a worldly, HIV-positive Parisian writer confronting his own mortality, and Arthur, a curious, carefree university student just beginning to live. Brought together by chance, the men find themselves navigating a casual fling that gradually deepens into a tender, transformative bond.
L’imprévisible Christophe Honoré (Les Chansons d’amour) fait son retour avec une œuvre la plus personnelle et chargée émotionnellement. Chronique intime d’une romance et portrait de la vie gay parisienne du début des années 90, Plaire, aimer et courir vite croise les histoires de Jacques, un écrivain (parisien, matérialiste, séropositif) confronté aux limites de sa longévité, et Arthus, un étudiant curieux et insouciant dont la vie commence à peine. Réunis par le hasard, ces deux hommes se cherchent dans un flirt que, peu à peu, la tendresse transforme en lien plus profond.
