There’s always been a wide strip of overlap between the film and video art that museums acquire and the movies that play at a theater near you. Tune in as a distinguished and diverse group of artists, each working in that crossover, address the ongoing feedback loop between art films and film-art.

Madeleine Hunt Ehrlich is a filmmaker and artist who works at the intersections of the white and black box. She has had moving image work screened at the New Museum and the Guggenheim Museum in New York.

Leilah Weinraub is an American filmmaker and conceptual artist, and the former CEO of the fashion brand Hood By Air, and director of the feature documentary Shakedown, which screened in the 2017 Whitney Biennial.
Simon Liu’s films and 16mm projection performances have been presented at film festivals and institutions including IFF Rotterdam. TIFF, SFMoMA, and “Dreamlands: Expanded” with the Whitney Museum of American Art & Microscope Gallery.
