The 2020 New Orleans Film Festival was re-envisioned for this year of social distancing, combining outdoor screenings with virtual offerings, allowing everyone to attend and participate in the ways that made them most comfortable. Overall, we had an amazing turnout of over 16,000 attendees, for both our in-person and virtual programs, who enjoyed 17 days of cinematic programming. This year’s festival once again demonstrates the important role the New Orleans Film Society plays in showcasing top-notch contemporary film in our city, helping to promote New Orleans as an important cultural hub, and bolstering our creative economy by providing stipends to every participating artist.
