HOW DOES TICKETING WORK AT THE OPEN-AIR CINEMAS?
The Open-Air Cinema comprises two screens on the Lafitte Greenway with socially distant chair seating and one screen at Broadside. Open-Air Cinema events will be open to All Access Pass and individual ticket holders who reserve tickets to Open-Air Cinema events online. These tickets will be limited, sold/reserved in advance, and viewing areas will only be accessible to ticket holders.
Advance reservations, and arriving in time to be in your seat 15 minutes prior to showtime, are the only way to guarantee seats.
Online sales for Open-Air Cinema screenings close 15 mins before the event starts.
BOX OFFICE:
If you have already purchased your ticket, there is no need to visit the Box Office upon arrival. You may proceed to the appropriate entry point for your screening and your ticket will be scanned at the gate. There will be no physical tickets provided this year–– simply show the ticket on your mobile device (our preference), or bring your personally printed copy to be scanned at entry.
If you need to purchase a ticket and cannot do so in advance, or need on-site customer service, visit the Main Festival Box Office at 2606 St. Louis St. (next to the HEY Coffee Co.) to book any remaining screening tickets and to assist with booking future screenings. Broadside will have a separate satellite box office. Thank you to Green Coast Enterprises for providing the space!
BOX OFFICE HOURS & RULES:
The Main Festival Box Office at 2606 St. Louis St. hours: daily 11am-8pm (on November 6th the box office will be open 5pm-8pm). Broadside box office hours: 6pm-8pm.
Due to concerns related to the coronavirus pandemic, and in accordance with CDC recommendations, the City of New Orleans requires contact information for individuals attending large gatherings. No tickets can be purchased for any Open-Air Cinema screening without providing your full name and contact details. Please show up early to allow additional time at the box office should you need to make an on-site purchase.
For the safety of our staff and guests, cash and checks will not be accepted at the Box Office. Please be prepared to pay with a debit or credit card, or Apple/Google Pay via smartphone. Purchasing online in advance is always the safest way to purchase.
WHAT IF A SCREENING SELLS OUT? IS THERE A RUSH LINE?
Physically distant Rush Lines will form at the Main Box Office at 2606 St. Louis Street for Greenway Open-Air cinemas, and/or by The Broadside Box Office half an hour before the scheduled screening. Any available seats will be released on a first-come, first-served basis to those in line. Please be prepared to pay with a debit or credit card, or Apple/Google Pay via smartphone only.
WHAT IF I WILL NOT USE MY TICKET/S?
Passes and tickets are non-refundable. Should an Open Air screening be canceled due to weather conditions, your ticket will be transferred to view the film online during the festival. Check your email for any screening cancellations and exact instructions on ticket handling.
Purchased individual tickets can be transferred simply through Eventive to a friend using their email. If you booked a ticket against your All Access Pass and don’t intend to use it, please cancel the ticket in advance in Eventive, so that someone else may reserve that seat as capacity is limited.
WHAT ARE THE SEATING ARRANGEMENTS?
There will be outdoor chair seating available for all. On the Lafitte Greenway, you are also welcome to bring your own seating or set yourself up on the grass. The seating pods will be arranged to accommodate 1, 2 or 3+ sections and each of them will be designated with 6ft physical distancing in mind. Please follow the rules and adhere to all on-site staff requests.
At the Broadside the venue requests that you use the seating provided rather than bringing your own.
WHAT IS REQUIRED OF ME TO ATTEND THE OPEN-AIR CINEMAS? WHAT CAN I BRING?
- Please do not attend any events and stay at home if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. See the CDC guidelines for COVID-19 symptoms here.
- Masks are required to enter all event spaces, even outdoors, per City guidelines. Physical distancing will be maintained for lines and seating. Extra masks and hand sanitizer will be available for your use should you need them.
- You must be in your seat 15 minutes prior to showtime, as NOFF will release unclaimed seats to the Rush Line at that time. We will not issue refunds to ticket holders who arrive later than 15 minutes prior to the start of the film.
- Glass, pets, firearms, and fireworks are not allowed at any of our Open-Air Cinema venues.
- At Broadside, no outside food or drink is allowed per the rules of the venue; there is a bar and concession within the perimeter of the event area at this venue.
- At the Open-Air cinemas on the Lafitte Greenway, personal chairs, food, drinks, blankets, soft coolers, a picnic will not be prohibited, but during the evening events we strongly encourage you to support the Broad Theater’s pop-up concession stand located between the Film New Orleans Open-Air Cinema and the Second Line Stages Open-Air Cinema.
- At the Broadside and at the pop-up concession stand, the Broad Theater will be serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and popcorn. We encourage you to support our local neighborhood theater. The pop-up concession stands at Lafitte Greenway open Nov. 6-15, 6:30pm – 9:30pm every day and 2:30pm – 9:30pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays.
